Home Information Pack

A new and mandatory part of conveyancing, a Home Information Pack is a collection of essential documents relating to the sale and purchase of a residential property. It is the sellers responsibility to have a pack assembled Ready before the property is put on the market.

The introduction of the pack will make the home buying and selling Process faster, easier to understand and more consumer friendly.

The Government guidelines split the pack requirements into required contents which are mandatory and authorized content which are voluntary.

The required content which must be in the HIP, is by and large the Main documents which are legally required now, with the addition of an energy performance certificate required.
